Most of the following works were painted with consideration to their harmonic and visual architecture. Each of these pieces is, in essence, illuminated graphic notation of a short piece written with it’s visual output in mind as much as it’s auditory result (click “listen” to hear, and see video example at bottom) demonstrating the symbiosis between artistic fields–music that chose to express itself visually. The impasto in some works provides a distinct woven texture, invoking the mimicry inherent in the act of painting.
